Exam Recommendations
Making sure your eyes are healthy and that you have good vision is part of a good preventive health regime.
No eye troubles, no chronic illness, no family history of eye disease:
- The American Optometric Association recommends a comprehensive dilated eye examination every one to two years if you are not experiencing any eye trouble, don't have a chronic illness and have no family history of eye disease.
Contact Lens wearers:
- Contact lens wearers are required to have a comprehensive eye examination every year.
Chronic illness or family history of eye disease:
- If you do have a chronic illness, such as diabetes, it is important to have your eyes examined once a year or more frequently if recommended by your doctor.
