I'm sick, what now?

If you are experiencing:

  • fever and/or body aches - use an over-the-counter fever reducer/pain reliever such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen
  • vomiting - have clear liquids/re-hydration fluids on hand such as Gatorade, Sprite, Gingerale, popsicles, Jell-O. Consume small amounts at a time such as sips or tablespoons until you are able to tolerate larger amounts.
  • cough and/or sore throat - cough drops, throat lozenges, over-the-counter medicine

It's serious when:

  • fever is 103 or above
  • severe headache
  • delirium
  • inability to keep liquids down
  • difficulty breathing
  • you are pregnant, asthmatic, immune suppressed, or under 5 years of age and have flu symptoms

These are rare symptoms and may be signs of complication or another disease.  Please seek immediate medical attention.
