What can I do if I think I've been given a "date rape" drug?

While thankfully rare, incapacitated sexual assault does occur on college campuses.  Womens Services at Student Health has put together some really useful information about what Ohio State students can do if they feel that they were the victim of a "date rape" drug.

Please check it out.  And remember to be careful when going out to bars or parties or any other place where you might be given a drink from someone you don't know.  Keep your friends close by to make sure you all get home safely.

Sadly, some of the reported cases of sexual violence occur when a survivor reports that they may have been given something that incapacitated them. The recommendations of our site refers to that person. Clearly, we agree with you that if a student is out and feels that they are in danger of being drugged, then being vigilent about their drinks AND going somewhere safer would be the best plan.

Often things happen too quickly and the person who "spiked" the drink has separated you from your friends and is the "helping hand" when things go fuzzy. That's why part of safe drinking is staying and leaving with trusted friends. Thanks for the input.
