On Monday, November 9th at 7:30pm in Room 100 of Independence Hall, the Ohio Union Activities Board will present "Let's See Some ID:  The Drinking Age Debate."

The debate will be moderated by Dr. Louise Douce, Assistant Vice President of Student Life and Director of Counseling and Consultative Services, and will feature two national experts.

Barrett Seaman will argue in favor of lowering the drinking age.  Seaman, a former correspondent and editor for TIME Magazine, is the author of Binge: Campus Life in an Age of Disconnection and Excess.

Arguing in favor of keeping the drinking age at 21 will be William DeJong.  DeJong, a former director of the U.S. Dept. of Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention, is a Professor in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Boston University School of Public Health.

The evening will start with opening remarks by both panelists and then the floor will be opened to questions from the audience.
