Q: Are immunizations covered at the Student Health Center?

A: If you have the Comprehensive Student Health Insurance Plan, immunizations are covered under a Preventive Services benefit at 50% to a maximum $300 per plan year.  That means you have to pay half of the cost of any vaccine you receive until you reach $300 and then you have to pay the full cost.

The cost of immunizations is specifically excluded under the WilceCare Supplement and when administered in any facility other than the Student Health Center under the Comprehensive Student Health Insurance Plan.  For more details of the Comprehensive Student Health Insurance Plan, see their website.

For other insurance policies, immunizations are considered preventive medicine and are usually not covered when given at an out of network provider.  To find out how or if your plan will cover immunizations at Wilce (or any other facility) you will need to contact your insurance company.

See the accompanying document for a list of prices for vaccines offered at the Student Health Center.  To schedule an appointment in our Immunization Clinic, please call (614) 292-4321.
